“They’re a bit of a danger if they’re not escorted…we can never trust what the Russians’ intent is.”
Former Air Vice-Marshal Sean Bell explains how British jets are on constant alert to stop Russian aircraft that could stray into NATO airspace.

28.08.2023I know that our F35s are flying sorties almost daily of late. Whenever something is happening with Putin making threats or Russia takes heavy losses or the UK and France send Ukraine long range missiles the F35s will increase the frequency of their sorties. Their flight path is right over my house and given the situation in the world right now I don't care if they wake me up, I'm just grateful that we have them. Slava Ukraine!

28.08.2023This happens a lot, its not news, mostly Russian aircraft are in international airspace, and yet, the anti British media make it sound like we're going to be attacked 😂

25.08.2023They are making the most of it before they hire based purely on diversity and then no jets will fly again.

25.08.2023The customary reassurance that there was no real threat from these bombers because they would have to come much closer to the UK than they did for there to be any danger, is either disingenuous or uttered without ANY thought at all! During last year's attempt to bomb Kyiv into submission, or into rubble, many of the cruise missiles involved were launched, over the Caspian Sea by the same basic type of aircraft as those intercepted yesterday, and the RAF wouldn't have been sure of the difference until they were intercepted and their pilots could see the aerials and other differences in mission equipment. That being the case, similar Russian bombers are almost certainly capable of destroying prominent UK economic targets, such as the Forth Road Bridges or even the Humber or Orwell Bridges, from a safe launch point over the Baltic Sea if not the Barents Sea. It would be nice if just one of these "experts" would credit the public to know when the difference between the harsh truth and pseudo patriotic waffle. There is no patriotism in complacency.

25.08.2023Uk pilots ..USA ..France..Canada.. and some other countrys from Europe ,all these countrys have very experienced pilots with a very good know how on air defense and atack!!!! USA pilots in my opinion are some of the best in the world!!! They have a very good training and they do alot combat scenarios!!!! But a fighter jet on it s ownn is not going to win wars…. and it s the all branches working together that make the diference !!! Let s hope those Ukrainian pilots have good teatchers…we all want to see f16 defending Ukrainian territory and all Ukrainian people!!! 🇵🇹🇺🇦💙💛🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺💪🏼🇬🇧🇺🇲

23.08.2023Yes it happens a lot,
So why do we only scramble two aircraft at any time 365, 24.
When they routinely test the defences.
And why don’t we have a long range bomber,
too test their defences.
